Emma Lazarus is most well known for writing The New Colossus, the poem mounted on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty. Through this curriculum package, introduce your students to the life and career of Emma Lazarus. Students will learn about American history, immigration, American Jewish history, and civic engagement by interacting with primary sources.
