Purim is just around the corner, and we've got some fantastic resources to help you bring the excitement of this joyous holiday into your classroom!

An Interactive Megillah for the Whole Class!

The Megillah reading is a central part of Purim, and our interactive Megillat Esther makes it an engaging experience for everyone. It was designed to allow children of various abilities to take part in this important Purim activity. Here's what makes it so special:

  • Listen or Read: Choose between listening to the story or exploring the interactive version.

  • Read Along: In the interactive version, readers can read the text independently or touch the Megillah to hear it read aloud.

  • Meet the Characters: Touch the characters on each page to hear what they have to say, bringing the story to life!

Classroom Fun: Ideas for Implementation

Here are some ways you can use these resources in your classroom:

  • Shared Reading: Project the Megillah on a smartboard and read it together as a class. Alternatively, open the megillah in the Jigzi website on iPads and have students read in small groups, taking turns interacting with the screen.

  • Dramatic Play: Bring the story to life! Have students act out scenes from the Megillah while it's projected on the smartboard.

  • Memory Match: Take screenshots of the word-matching screens from "Words for Purim," turn them into cards, and play a memory game. A fun way to reinforce vocabulary!
