With this lesson, students will understand that there is a Jewish state/homeland called Israel.  Students will connect to a place of belonging or an item in their home which connects to a Jewish home. The students will learn that there are national symbols in Israel (as well as the United States and other countries) by comparing  and contrasting the American/Israel emblems, national anthems and flags.

Resources include the full lesson plan, slide deck, templates, and links for reference.

I primarily teach third and fourth grade.  I  have also taught sixth and seventh grade in Torah and Ethics.

I love creating vivacious experiences and making the Torah come to life when teaching Torah lessons.  I am also a firm believer in small group learning, especially when it comes to Hebrew reading and decoding. I try to make classroom learning fun, invigorating and worth the students attention to keep asking for more.
