Dan Tatar

Dan Tatar has spent over 25 years shaping the field of experiential Israel education, inspired by his own transformative teen journey to Israel, led by his former high school teacher (and The iCenter’s CEO), Anne Lanski. Serving as the Director of Engagement and Strategic Partnerships at The iCenter, he spearheads initiatives that connect communities with Israel and Israelis in meaningful and innovative ways.

In addition to his work at The iCenter, Dan contributes to global thought leadership as an inaugural council member for Voice of the People, a global initiative under Israel’s President Isaac Herzog, addressing critical challenges and fostering connections across Jewish communities. His academic contributions include authoring and co-authoring articles for multiple outlets, as well as designing curriculum like “Navigating AI and Academic Integrity” for AI Academy and CourseHero.

Dan’s background as a television and stage actor informs his dynamic and creative approach to education. He holds graduate degrees in Israel Education (The George Washington University) and Jewish Professional Studies (Spertus Institute) and certifications in both Innovative Strategies and Teaching with AI.

He lives in the Chicago suburbs with his brilliant wife, brave daughter, and endlessly curious dog. (Pronouns: he/him)
