Social-Emotional Support Skill Building for NY Teen Professionals
This is a challenging moment to be a Jewish teenager. Our teens are feeling othered from many vantage points. Their relationship with Israel feels different than that of their parents, grandparents, and many of the Jewish institutions in which they grew up. At the same time, they are aware of rising antisemitism online and fear on college campuses. This conversation will cast a light on the political perspectives many of our teens hold, and how to best support them through this difficult moment in time.
Join Rabbi Aaron Brusso and Naomi Skop Richter, LCSW, for a conversation about what Jewish teens in New York need in November 2023. You will leave this lunch and learn with skills to support teens’ specific needs today and moving forward.
This lunch and learn is open to professionals who work at Jewish institutions on Long Island, in NYC or Westchester, with teens in 6th-12th grade. Professionals who work with other ages are welcome to attend other sessions of our lunch and learn series.
Please note: to allow for an open and candid conversation from all participants, we will not be recording this session.
