Lesson

This lesson can be delivered in one long session or two shorter sessions. If the educator wants to divide the lesson

into two sessions, the first session would focus on understanding the Maccabean Revolt and discuss modern-day

antisemitism. The second session would focus on modern-day changemakers and how they are ‘beacons of light,’

reminiscent of the Maccabees of the past.
