This curriculum guide is a yearlong 10th grade confirmation class on interfaith learning; a class which promotes engagement and involvement in a greater faith-based global village. Units focus on how God, prayer, sacred text, and ritual celebrations exist in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Units also include facilitated interfaith dialogue and guidance for a unique confirmation ceremony.

Ahavat Achim Synagogue, Atlanta, GA. Students and their families meet five times a year, outside of regular religious school hours, as a group based on geographic location, to celebrate and learn about mitzvot.

Mayim at Temple Beth Shalom

Mayim offers experiential and project-based Jewish learning and community-building for children in grades K-5. Their commitment to project-based learning places the student at the center of the learning, with the teacher acting as a facilitator (Design Principle 6). Project-based learning also means that students collaborate regularly, creating deep and meaningful relationships (Design Principle 5). Mayim provides options for transportation, early drop off, and elective activities preceding the start of the program. They also offer daily Jewish afterschool care (Design Principle 2).
