This guide aims to achieve a balance between the way in which American representations of Israel are constructed and the way in which Israelis experience these American representations of Israel.  This guide identifies four commonplaces: Key Sites, Military, Hebrew, and Textbooks to look at the way in which these two narratives are constructed. Learners will identify their own personal relationship with Israel, create a mission statement for what Israel education should look like in their synagogue, and have the opportunity to write and implement a lesson plan that integrates the two narratives.
