Kehila: Caring & Community – Lessons for JDAIM and Beyond
If Moshe Rabeynu, who had a speech and communication disorder, were to come into our synagogue and want to read from the Torah that he gave us, could we handle it without becoming embarrassed if he were to stutter? Kehila: Caring & Community is a new, very user-friendly curriculum for teens focusing on disabilities and inclusion. Written in partnership with Shutaf Inclusion Programs, it combines relevant, text-based conversations and experiential learning (activities, videos, and music, all embedded in digital sourcebooks). As students explore Jewish perspectives on disability, they also learn about themselves and their world.
