We’ve seen a number of reflections on “What to Say to Teens about Israel” and wanted to share an approach that focuses on both listening to teens and helping them to identify areas where they can support one another.

Most educators know that when you ask a group of teens to share their feelings on something you typically hear responses from a small set of participants who like to share their opinions in group settings and you receive silence from the majority of teens. Below is a set of prompts that can help educators and clergy to bring all teens into the conversation, to better listen to their experience and to help them discern the ways they can support one another as they face the diverse set of fears and concerns Jewish people are experiencing at this hour.
