About this Guide

The Druze community in Israel is a unique Arabic-speaking ethno-religious minority practicing the Druze faith. As part of a global Druze population of about 1 million, they share strong ties to ancestral lands and common challenges with the wider Arab society in Israel. 

This resource provides a basic introduction to Druze communities in Israel. Refer to the Source Sheet Companion for a list of references and a selection of additional resources for further learning.

The Task Force on Arab Citizens of Israel was created by a coalition of major American Jewish organizations and philanthropies as an educational resource on Arab citizens and Jewish-Arab relations in Israel. We support educators by providing educational programs, connections to speakers and site visits, and professional training pertaining to these issues.
