What is DRJC? Who is it for?

Deep Rich Jewish Content (DRJC) methodologies invite learners to actively engage with primary texts, sources, and materials from across the spectrum of Jewish history and communal life. Through rigorous exploration and open inquiry, learners grapple with the multi-vocality of Jewish sources, cultivating transformative understandings and a commitment to continuous learning. Learners co-create their own learning, fostering lifelong Jewish belonging.

The DRJC methodologies work wherever you teach Jewish texts—whether you're leading a preschool Shabbat conversation, designing a congregational program, teaching in a full-time day school classroom, or leading teen text study.

This toolkit is built for educators who want to deepen how texts live in their teaching, whatever the setting. These six methodologies are ways to make text come alive for your students, and to help empower them to take ownership over their own Jewish learning.
