We were joined by The Paradigm Project, Teaching Beyond the Square and Jennifer Caravajal.
Jennifer Caravajal presented strategies for infusing traditional academic skills into a Reggio-inspired classroom, sharing real examples from her own classroom and strategies she has developed in her work for Teaching Beyond the Square as a coach to schools in the New York City metro area. She shared her favorite children’s books, identify the unexpected ways the children develop literacy skills, and fine-tune storytime and read aloud methods.

Picturing Israel: History, Heritage and Homeland is a new resource for 5th-12th grade learners providing a unique pedagogy combining images by renowned photographer, Zion Ozeri with traditional Jewish texts to explore Jewish Peoplehood and the Jewish People's connection to the land of Israel.
Children learn by doing at the Brotherhood Synagogue Nursery School. Through active involvement in their environment, children add pieces of information to what they already know, thereby generating new ideas about the world around them.
