Are you a youth professional working with Jewish teens? Have you been working with teens between 2-4 years (full or part-time)? Would you benefit from learning and engaging in insights, practical skills, and best practices in areas pertinent to your work in the Jewish teen space. Then this cohort-based opportunity is for YOU!

JANUARY 21, 2025 AT 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST

•    Session 1: Professional skills: This session will focus on tools for successfully navigating challenging conversations with your supervisor, colleagues, parents, and teens. Facilitated by Erica Hruby, Senior Manager, National Teen Education and Initiatives at The Jewish Education Project.

JANUARY 28, 2025 AT 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM EST

•    Session 2: Youth engagement skills: This session will focus on building your relational engagement skills to deepen and expand your connection with teens. Facilitated by Brett Lubarsky, Director, Jewish Communal Life at Combined Jewish Philanthropies.

FEBRUARY 4, 2025 AT 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST

•    Session 3: Jewish educational skills: This session will focus on ‘Jewing-up’ your programming through innovative programming ideas and a national Jewish education resource share. Facilitated by Rabbi Aviva Funke, Associate Director at Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater Phoenix and School Principal at Hebrew High of Greater Phoenix.

FEBRUARY 11, 2025 AT 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST

•    Session 4: This session will focus on expanding the breadth of your program offerings by hearing about the innovative, engaging, and successful programming happening in Jewish teen spaces today. Facilitated by Danielle Alexander, Director of Kehillah High, Teen Education and Engagement at Jewish Federation of Greater Houston.

This is a cohort-based program where participants will be encouraged to connect with each other with the goal of having long-term colleagues to learn with, support, and guide. This program includes four sessions. Participants are asked to commit to the full length of the program. All participants who successfully attend all four sessions will be entitled to a 1-hour one-on-one coaching session with Erica N. Hruby, M.A.

Erica Hruby

Erica Hruby, M.A. is a Jewish educator with nearly 30-years of teaching, curriculum writing, and professional development experience in Jewish community, academic, and residential environments. Erica serves as Senior Manager, National Teen Education and Engagement at The Jewish Education Project. She is also the founder of Anchored Parenting, LLC where she serves as a parent educator and coach. Erica has an M.A. from Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Clinical Psychology with a focus on children and adolescents. She lives on the West Coast of Florida with her high school sweetheart with whom she shares two adult daughters.
