The RAC's 18 Ways Congregations Can Observe Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month and Chabad's Call to Action for JDAIM.

Chabad, in their guide, reminds us to commit to inclusion year-round: "Invite people from group homes or your local Jewish program for adults with disabilities to services. Make the service accessible. Most important, greet and welcome them. Sit with them. Talk with them. Remember Avraham and Sara welcoming strangers. Think about inviting them to services the rest of the year. JDAIM isn’t just a 'Taste of Judaism!'”. JDAIM is a reminder that while February is the month that we do specific programming, being welcoming and inclusive is a Jewish value 365 days a year.

The RAC's 18 Ways Congregations Can Observe Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month, while intended for congregations, this list has a number of ideas that will translate very nicely to your education space.

Chabad goes into the what, the why, and the how of JDAIM in their comprehensive guide.

Both of these resources lift up what's important - that each person is an entire world, and deserves respect and welcoming in Jewish spaces.
