This resource was created for educators and families to help promote the well-being of young children in response to uncertainty and potential unrest. Sasha Kopp, our Community Early Childhood and Family Engagement Consultant had a conversation with Leah C. Marks, PhD, NCSP, a school psychologist and licensed clinical psychologist, to discuss how parents and educators can best support young children at this time.

Leah C. Marks, PhD, NCSP is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois, and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Marks is also a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) therapist. Dr. Marks specializes in serving young children with behavioral, emotional and developmental needs, specifically in an interdisciplinary context. Dr. Marks is passionate about taking an ecological approach to best understand how children function across different settings and contexts.
