When Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish first came out on Broadway, The Jewish Education Project created content for educators to use with their learners framing the experience of seeing the show. Now we've had the opportunity to build on that, using Fiddler as a jumping off point to explore questions about Jewish identity today. The show introduces timeless questions about universalism, particularism, peoplehood, and language. During the COVID pandemic and beyond, there have been new developments in how we relate to our individual and communal identities, and we're excited to be able to use this timeless and timely content to partner with our educators in bringing these questions to learners.
