Online Workshop Series

Join us for this six-session writing workshop series with Catapult Learning.

Please note that this workshop series will be held remotely.

This is a 12 hour-program for educators who have attended previous Collins Writing trainings. Teachers who complete Track One may want to continue with Track Two, starting with Module Two, The Retrieval Routine. Participants must attend all six sessions. 

  • July 7: Review of the Five Types of Writing and Preview of Upcoming Sessions 

  • July 8: The Retrieval Routine Discuss, model, and practice The Retrieval Routine 

  • July 12: Vocabulary Card Assignment Discuss, model, and practice Vocabulary Card Assignment 

  • July 13: Ten Percent Summary Discuss, model, and practice Ten Percent Summary 

  • July 14: Compare and Contrast Assignment Discuss, model, and practice Compare and Contrast Assignment 

  • July 15: Plan implementation, answer questions, and highlight resources In addition to the informative, engaging virtual sessions, participants will receive a substantial package of materials and will be asked to print out these packets of materials before the sessions.

  • This workshop will grant CTLE credits. Please note that the credits must be requested in advance. In order to receive the credits, you must be logged in for the entire duration of the workshop, have your video camera on, and be in the frame.
