Guiding Multifaith Families in Jewish Grief Rituals
According to the 2020 Pew Study roughly 2/3 of married Jewish adults have a non-Jewish partner. The non-Jewish parent are ones that sign their children up for school, come to the bet mitzvah parent meetings, and bring their children to family holiday programs. These numbers are growing, and more and more of our communities will be made up of multifaith families. Our families are choosing to raise their kids Jewish. This lesson focuses on death and how to help Jewish kids navigate Jewish rituals for death and dying.
