Have you always wanted to bring more Jewish texts into your classroom but don’t know where to start?
Do you want your students to have their learning grounded in classical Jewish texts, but you feel intimidated by how vast they are?
Are you looking to gain practical skills and tools to deepen your students' experience?
Then the Deep Rich Jewish Content (DRJC) eCourse is designed for you!
This six module, self-paced, asynchronous course is rooted in the DRJC methodology—which centers primary texts, multi-vocality, and learner co-creation.
We hope it will inspire and equip you with practical tools and transformative approaches on how to bring deeper, richer Jewish learning to your learners.
Each module explores one of the six DRJC tools:
- Using Primary Texts
- Textual Layering
- Exploring Text through Multiple Modalities
- Creating a Relationship-Centered Pedagogy
- Demonstrating Authenticity and Vulnerability
- Developing Self-Efficacy in Learners
You can complete all six – or choose the modules that most interest you. And you can always come back for more later!
Throughout the course, you will:
- Experience the Deep Rich Jewish Content methodology firsthand to build personal comfort with Jewish texts
- Explore each DRJC tool through deep learning, sample lesson plans, and opportunities for synthesis
- Discover pedagogic strategies for incorporating Jewish texts into diverse learning environments
- Reflect on your current practice and its alignment with DRJC principles
- Imagine the possibilities of DRJC in Jewish educational settings
Each module takes approximately 45–60 minutes and can be completed in any order, allowing you to choose your own path based on interest and need. Whether you're just beginning to explore DRJC or looking to deepen your practice, this course offers inspiration, practical guidance, and a supportive learning community.
