Addressing Racism in Jewish Education
January 12, 2022
Thank you for joining The Jewish Education Project and Repair the World New York for a live-cast honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. This session was co-moderated by David Bryfman, CEO of The Jewish Education Project, and Rachel Figurasmith, Regional Director of the Northeast at Repair the World. In this session we discussed how we—as educators, parents, and caretakers— can use Jewish education to center antiracist practices even during a pandemic and why it's important to do so.
Panel participants included:
- Shekhiynah Larks, Youth and Family Program Coordinator and diversity trainer for Be'chol Lashon
- Tehilah Eisenstadt, Director of Yachad & Family Engagement at Congregation Beth Elohim
- Pam Alcala, Assistant Director of Youth Engagement Temple Sinai of Roslyn
