HaTikvah: Our Hope for Israel is The Jewish Education Project’s new six-session curricular unit for supplementary school learners in 4th and 5th grades. This unit invites young learners into a rich and meaningful exploration of Israel’s national anthem as both a Jewish cultural treasure and a vessel of enduring hope for Israel. Rooted in the power of song to connect, inspire, and express identity, this unit uses HaTikvah as a gateway to understanding the diverse visions that Israelis hold for their country, and to help learners begin shaping their own—through music, stories, reflection, and creative expression.
