Leading with Students at the Center

Tikvah Wiener is the Founder and CEO of Kadima Coaching, a global organization that empowers Jewish day school and congregational educators through professional development in student-centered learning. Over the past 30 years, she has dedicated her career to Jewish education, serving as a teacher, administrator, head of school, and consultant. Tikvah was an UpStart Fellow and a member of HaKaveret, JEIC’s design team of leading educators charged with developing innovative models of Jewish learning. She has also delivered an ELI Talk on the central role of passion-based learning in Jewish education.

Gary Pretsfelder is Senior Manager, Professional Learning and Growth at the Jewish Education Project in New York, where he consults with, and coordinates professional development for, Yeshivot and Day School educators in the New York area in support of educational and cultural change in their schools. Gary is a former long-time, day school Principal and teacher in New York who built communities that put students and active learning at the center.
