Antisemitism + Complex Jewish Voices Network

Facilitator: Dr. Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath
Format: Virtual

About this Network:

It is understood that antisemitism is on the rise, both in the United States and around the world. But is this an unprecedented moment in history, or is it the continuation of the arc of the Jewish experience? When we talk about antisemitism with our learners, rather than defaulting to a singular narrative of the Jewish experience, we need to bring the same intentionality as we do to so many other areas of our work. This network will center around applying curricular materials developed by The Jewish Education Project and Facing History through the Shine a Light initiative to your learning environment. In addition to access to multiple learning sessions centering the voices of Jews of Color, Sephardic and Mizrachi Jews, and underrepresented Jewish stories in antisemitism education, participants will explore best practices of antisemitism education for different ages, settings, and life stages. This network will be facilitated by Dr. Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath, author of #antisemitism: Coming of Age During the Resurgence of Hate, a recognized expert on the impact of antisemitism on Jewish identity in adolescence.
