Fourteen years ago, Rachel Weinstein White was a new mom and business consultant frustrated with the existing Jewish educational opportunities for her Jewish family of color. Today, she is the executive director and founder of Fig Tree, an independent Jewish education program for children from interracial, interfaith and/ or secular Jewish backgrounds- or for families looking for a different mode of Jewish education.



What can we learn from one parent who is inspired to take the radical leap from the business world to Jewish education? What new understandings can be gleaned about Jewish families today based on a “Jewish adjacent” spouse's journey with their family?
