Youth Professional Regional Summit

The last two years have been a time of constant change. Our relationships have changed. Our responsibilities have changed. Even aspects of our own identities have changed. During this cross-regional youth professional roundtable, we will reflect on how our identities and the identities of our teens have evolved, and how it impacts our work as youth and teen professionals. This will be an exciting opportunity to dive deep into meaningful content and connect with colleagues in roles like yours throughout the New York area.

This meeting will begin with a keynote by Dr. Betsy Stone about pandemic related identity shifts in both ourselves and the youth that we serve and include an opportunity for participants to delve deeper into the content and consider application through topics such as content that builds relationship and mental health and wellness spaces.

Dr. Betsy Stone received her Doctorate in Psychology from Yale University. She is a psychologist and for the last seventeen years has served as an adjunct lecturer at Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. Her classes include Human Development for Educators, Adolescent Development and Teens In and Out of Crisis. She also teaches a family education class in her synagogue, Temple Sinai of Stamford, for 6th and 7th graders and their parents, and likes to travel and teach about teenagers and their families. Betsy’s book, Happily Ever After, was published by Random House.​
