This course is rooted in key areas that youth serving professionals requested additional training to supplement the content received through prior mental health trainings aimed at supporting youth. This course, developed in consultation with a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in adolescence is designed to help amplify your work connected to three main protective factors inherent in Jewish youth and synagogue settings: supportive adults, peer relationship and spirituality. 

The eCourse can be completed at your own pace and typically takes approximately 8-10 hours to complete. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn with a cohort of colleagues committed to creating supportive environments for youth in Jewish settings through three facilitated sessions aimed at helping you apply content, address challenges and work through aspects of the content together.


In order to take the course, you must have previously taken QPR, ASIST or YMHFA training and able to provide records of certification.

We are able to offer you this opportunity at $25. Payment will be collected after your application is approved.

In addition to increasing your comfort and competence, you will receive a Certificate of Completion upon completion of the course.

IMPORTANT dates:

  • January 31st: Applications due. Upon completion of the application, you will receive the introductory module of the course. 
  • February 7th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET: Virtually facilitated session & complete introductory module.
  • March 7th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET: Virtually facilitated session & complete modules on Supportive Adults.
  • April 4th, 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET: Virtually facilitated session & complete modules on Supportive Peers and Spirituality.
