Shared Legacies: A Professional Development Workshop for Educators
Join Holocaust Museum LA, Spill The Honey, and Challah & Soul for a powerful Professional Development Day featuring a screening of Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance, followed by an interactive training on its five-part curriculum led by the film’s director, Dr. Shari Rogers and educator Brian Knowles. Through firsthand accounts and historical footage, the film explores the enduring alliance between the Black and Jewish communities during the Civil Rights Movement.
The day will include a Challah and Soul Bridge-Building Lunch, featuring African American and Jewish culinary traditions, storytelling, and strategies to foster student dialogue and cross-cultural understanding through food.
$150 stipend available for current educators.
