Mental Health: Empowering teachers and building motivation in response to COVID-19
This webinar will use Self-Determination Theory—a model of motivation—to understand the core psychological needs that are affected by the radical changes we are seeing in our workplaces due to COVID-19.
We will approach loss of motivation, identity, and drive as an understandable response to an environment that limits teachers’ sense of independence, competence, and connection. This webinar will offer administrators simple yet effective strategies to understand and address the challenging effects of COVID-19 on workplace motivation and passion amongst their staff. The course will also explore the physiology of stress and its connection to motivation, and tangible steps organizations can take to build a culture of support and help teachers effectively manage stress during this challenging time.
This program is in partnership with The Paradigm Project and Bamidbar Wilderness Therapy.
