Jewish Studies Curriculum from SparkIL
This curriculum connects Jewish values to real-world action by centering lessons around SparkIL, a platform that connects diaspora Jews to Israelis living and working across the country. Across four to five structured lessons, students explore Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh Lazeh (mutual responsibility), Rambam's Eight Degrees of Tzedakah, the diversity of Israeli society, and the foundations of social entrepreneurship. Each lesson moves through a consistent arc of icebreaker, text study, and hands-on activity, culminating in students selecting and presenting an actual Israeli business from the SparkIL platform. Designed for day schools and supplementary schools serving students ages 11 and up, the curriculum includes teacher guides, primary source texts, printable materials, and a parent letter — everything needed to run the lessons with or without internet access.
