Each year The Jewish Education Project offers Microgrants in the Greater New York City area (New York City, Westchester, and Long Island) to support innovative ideas from thought to action. We offer up to $2,500 in grants to each awardee. 

THESE GRANTS IGNITE IDEAS AND HELP TURN THEM INTO REALITY OFTEN MAKING A SUBSTANTIAL IMPACT ON THE INSTITUTION. 

You may apply for a Microgrant between $500 and $2,500. Please note: If awarded a Microgrant, funds can only be used for programming between July 1, 2023 and February 28, 2024.

Our Microgrants are looking for innovative educational experiences in the following areas: 

  • Intergenerational

  • Thriving/Wellness/Mental Health

  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice

  • Digital Engagement

  • Adaptive Challenges/Leadership Development

  • Responding to Antisemitism

  • Israel Education

CRITERIA FOR AWARDING MICROGRANTS: 

  • Level of innovation 

  • Impact 

  • Quality of content 

  • Feasibility 

  • Leadership

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY: 

  • Your organization must have 501(c)3 status 

  • Your organization must work within our catchment area of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County 

  • Your experience(s) must target learners between early childhood and 12th grade

TIMELINE:

  • Applications Due - Friday, March 24, 2023
  • Microgrants Announced - Week of May 8, 2023
  • Final report/statements of impact due - January 30, 2024
  • Shareabration - March 5, 2024
