Introduction
The Framework is extensive. Its components are also complementary: they fit together, and implementing some will make it easier to implement others eventually, over time.
The Reimagining Discussion Guides can help organizational leaders choose a starting point. But what about real moments? How can the Framework be helpful in real time?
These scenarios help us think through real life.
Note that the scenarios are focused on two possibilities: that we are building our organization’s capacity to lead Israel education, and that we are responding to crisis.
To start:
- Read through the scenarios.
- Recognize those that might be helpful to ongoing challenges and opportunities in your setting. Study and think through those, learning new steps to take.
- Identify those that might be helpful in building capacity, rather than when responding to a crisis.
- Consider bringing the scenarios to staff and leadership meetings. Go through the steps of discussion with colleagues and prepare together for what is to come.

Here, we show aspects of the Framework applied to the scenarios. Feel free to start with these, considering the connection between the aspects of the Framework that are supplied and the scenarios.
Discussion Protocol
- Choose a scenario. Discuss how it might be similar to cases from your own organization. How will the scenario play out for you? What is similar and what is diffferent?
- Name the goal: Discuss various educational goals. What will your purpose be? What will you be trying to do?
- Set the container: Identify two to three norms and boundaries that enable learning and prevent harm.
- Consider the framework: What do you think of the standards as applied? Are there two you might start with—which ones?
- Plan next moves: Identify one step you would take in the following 72 hours, and one change you would make in the coming year.
