Newish to Jewish: Basics of Jewish traditions and values

Paradigm Project
December 16, 2021

If you’ve ever wondered about:

  • why the families in your school give donations in multiples of 18
  • why there’s a “no meat” policy for lunches where you work
  • what’s similar/different between Judaism and other religious practices

...Join us to learn some of the basics of Jewish traditions and values!

We’ll be collecting questions ahead of time, which you can submit anonymously, and leaving plenty of time to address anything else that comes up along the way.

About the Newish to Jewish series:

Jewish traditions and values can be overwhelming and confusing--even for folks who grew up surrounded by these practices. Even if you feel confident with your knowledge of Jewish holidays that are observed in your school, there’s so much more to learn. Join us as we explore together the other elements of Jewish life that you may come across in your schools. These sessions are perfect for anyone--from those with zero familiarity with Judaism to those who know some pieces by are hoping to learn more.
